Marie_TurnorHave you ever seen the Paper Bags? Who do you think the idea is? Once again, there is no easy answer. Or at least, we do have an answer with many uncertainties. In fact, it seems that the iconic paper bag has been interpreted many times over the years.
So, finding out who first had the inspiration is arduous undertaking. Trend and the City docet, we see double. Indeed triple. From Chanel to Jil Sander, to finish at Céline. Each of these bags feature the same characteristics. Each of them as a paper bag in leather. The other day, while browsing through the web, I discovered Marie Turnor’s Picnic, Dinner and Snak bags. So, I started googling around looking for more detailed information. And I discovered that these bags were the first ever. Beth Goodman, designer of the brand, had the idea in 2010 while staring at a woman walking in the Marais with the typical paper bag. She decided, therefore, to create a leather paper bag, now available in different colors and sizes (The Picnic: 20x20x5 cm The Dinner: 30x20x8, The Snak: 12x10x3).

In this period these bags are having a big hit on the web, above all because the price is much lower than the others. Personally, I think she had a brilliant idea, but I’m a bit skeptical about it. I’m between the yay or nay. And you? 

 L’invenzione delle Paper Bag. A chi ne attribuiamo l’idea? Ancora una volta la domanda non trova risposta. O almeno, non abbiamo molte certezze. Pare, infatti, che l’iconica paper bag sia stata rivisitata più e più volte negli anni e quindi, scoprire chi abbia avuto la genialata è ardua impresa. Trend and the City docet, vediamo doppio. Anzi triplo. Da quelle di Chanel a Jil Sander, per finire a Céline. Tutte molto simili. Tutte a mo’ di sacchetto del pane.
Ora, dopo aver scovato le Picnic, le Dinner e le Snak di Marie Turnor, ho iniziato a googlare qua e là alla ricerca di informazioni più precise. Ed ho scoperto che proprio queste siano state le prime paper bag. Beth Goodman, designer del brand, ebbe l’idea nel 2010 mentre osservava una donna passeggiare nel Marais con il tipico sacchetto di carta. Ebbe quindi la brillante idea di farne un sacchetto in pelle, ora disponibile in diverse tonalità e dimensioni (The Picnic: 20x20x5 cm; The Dinner: 30x20x8; The Snak: 12x10x3).
In questo periodo stanno letteralmente spopolando sul web, complice soprattutto il prezzo di gran lunga inferiore alle altre. Personalmente, trovo l’idea favolosa, ma sono ancora scettica. Mi trovo stazionaria tra il sì e il no. E voi? 
 Avez-vous déjà vu des sacs en papier? De qui est l’idée? Encore une fois, il n’y a pas de réponse facile. Ou du moins, nous avons une réponse, mais avec de nombreuses incertitudes. En fait, il semble que le sac en papier a été interprété plusieurs fois au fil des ans. Ainsi, découvrir qui a eu l’inspiration est une entreprise ardue. Trend and the City docet, on voit double. En effet triple. De Chanel à Jil Sander, pour finir à Céline. Chacun de ces sacs présentent les mêmes caractéristiques. Chacun d’eux comme un sac en papier. L’autre jour, en navigant sur internet, j’ai découverte les sacs Picnic, Dinner et Snak de Marie Turnor. Alors, j’ai commencé à googler pour obtenir des informations plus détaillées. Et j’ai constatée que ces sacs ont été les premiers. Beth Goodman, créatrice de la marque, a eu l’idée en 2010 en regardant une femme marchant dans le quartier du Marais avec le classique sac en papier. Elle a donc décidé de créer un sac en papier cuir, disponible en différentes couleurs et tailles (Le Picnic: 20x20x5 cm ; Le Dinner: 30x20x8 ; Le Snak: 12x10x3).
Pendant cette période, ces sacs ont un grand succès sur le web, surtout parce que le prix est beaucoup plus abordable que les autres. Personnellement, je pense qu’elle a eu une idée géniale, mais je suis un peu sceptique à ce sujet. Je suis entre la yay ou non. Et vous?
